Subject: Brodhead Armory Preservation
Dear Council Member:
It has come to my attention that plans are being made to preserve Brodhead intact. Recently we've found out that the newest plans call for disposing of a section of the building which houses some terrific artifacts that speak about the HISTORY of that facility and the City of Detroit. As we look over our beloved City so many of the really Historical items have been put to the axe.
We, The Tuskegee Airmen would like you yo have the building remain intact. The preservation that is being worked on right now would allow for us all to benefit from the lessons obtained in this building and the Historical Artwork. It is part of the Legacy of our beloved city.
We lost our submarine to the Western part of the State let's not lose anymore. In Fact, we should secure historical designation for the site.
Thank you in advance for your time and anticipated cooperation.
Respectfully,
Miguel E. Thornton, Retired USAF, President Tuskegee Airmen Detroit Chapter
